SYN Hosting reserves the right to decide as to what constitutes as abuse and any material not mentioned below is left entirely up to the discretion of the SYN Hosting staff.

Abuse can include, but is not limited to the following offenses:

A) Any attempts to compromise a server or network device belonging to SYN Hosting and/or any other company, individual or entity is strictly prohibited. This offense also includes IP range scanning, port scanning and vulnerability scanning.

B) Any attempts to launch a Denial of Service attack or disrupt a server or network device belonging to SYN Hosting and/or any other company, individual or entity is strictly prohibited.

C) The sending of unsolicited email, newsgroup postings, chain letters and/or anything else that could be considered SPAM is strictly prohibited. This offense also includes the gathering of email addresses to be used for sending unsolicited email using a 3rd party service.

D) The hosting of material that infringes on any copyright, trademark and/or service mark is strictly prohibited. This offense also includes the storage and transmission of pirated movies, music, software, ring tones, ebooks and/or anything else considered to be warez.

E) The hosting of material that is considered to be illegal in Canada and the United States of America is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to, child pornography, bestiality, hate speech, online casinos, scam sites and phishing sites.

F) The hosting of any software, source code and/or any other material that is illegal or could be used to commit an illegal act is strictly prohibited. This includes but is not limited to, exploit source codes, hacking tutorials, hacking tools, viruses and trojans, bomb making and similar destructive device tutorials.

G) The use of BitTorrent scripts, IRC clients, IRC bots, web crawlers, shoutcast servers, game servers and/or any process that is required to be continuously running is strictly prohibited.

H) The use of proxy scripts, video conversion scripts, chat room scripts, live help scripts, and/or any script that creates a high load or disrupts other users is strictly prohibited. SYN Hosting will deal with all of these issues on a case by case basis, and will attempt to work with client to resolve the issue to both parties satisfaction.

I) The hosting of pornographic related material is strictly prohibited due to the number of unauthorized attempts to gain illegal access to our servers. Adult related material that is deemed "non pornographic" is allowed.

Please note that any violation(s) could lead to a simple warning, temporary suspension of service, and/or termination of clients account(s) without warning. In the event that an illegal act has been committed, local and/or federal authorities may be notified.

SYN Hosting will not activate any service(s) until client has paid in full. To cancel and discontinue service with SYN Hosting, client must give at least 3 days notice to SYN Hosting via trouble ticket or email.

In the event that client is unable to pay for the next billing term, client will be given a 7 day grace period. If client still cannot pay after the grace period, clients service will be suspended until any overdue bills are paid in full. Should an overdue account reach 30 days, clients data may be removed without warning.

All dedicated IP addresses must be immediately justified prior to being assigned to client. If client is unable to justify the IP addresses per ARIN guidelines, the IP addresses will be held in reserve until justification is properly met.
